These procedures cover the admission of students to Higher Education Courses at Associated Studios. The Admissions Policy and its associated procedures have been developed in accordance with the Office for Students Regulatory Framework and the Expectation of the UK Quality Code for Higher Education (August 2018) that: ‘The provider has a reliable, fair and inclusive admissions system’. It also takes account of the Office for Students requirement that ‘students are recruited to courses for which they have the capability to achieve a successful outcome’. (…)

Associated Studios Performing Arts Academy (hereinafter referred to as Associated Studios) is committed to protecting individuals from maltreatment, abuse and neglect and to preventing harm to their health development and wellbeing. We provide and safe and supportive environment for our students, staff, freelance tutors and other people who work with us. Associated Studios currently work with persons over the age of 18 and whilst there is no legal directive regarding safeguarding adults this policy covers the principles in which we work. Failure to follow this safeguarding policy would constitute a matter of concern for Associated Studios and may lead to disciplinary action and/or dismissal. (…)
Associated Studios’ Student Complaints Procedure exists: to promote equality of opportunity for all students; to safeguard the human rights of all students; to provide a practical, formal framework for the student – ‘you’ – through which grievances may be quickly, efficiently and fairly addressed. This is the procedure to be followed in the event of your wishing to make a complaint against a fellow student or a member of Associated Studios’ staff. There are two distinct phases to the procedure. In the first, Associated Studios will attempt to resolve the complaint informally. If no informal resolution is possible, you can bring into effect the formal procedures, including the right of appeal to the Board of Trustees.(…)
