Marina Caldarone has been a freelance theatre director since 1984, Associate Director of Theatre Clwyd, a resident director at the National Theatre Studio and Artistic Director of the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch. A Radio Drama producer since 2000, and regular director of The Archers, she is also Drama Director of Crying Out Loud, a Voice-Over Demo production company.


She lectures on contemporary theatre practice and has compiled five monologue and duologue collections for Methuen and Nick Hern Books. She is co-author, with Maggie Lloyd Williams, of Britains’s best selling Acting Text for 6 consecutive years, Actions, an Actors Thesaurus.She is External Advisor for the Performance Preparation Academy in Guildford.The Drama Consultant for the global Speech and Drama Accreditation Board TRINITY COLLEGE LONDON and is Consultant – Radio Acting for Rose Bruford College.She has worked as an Acting Coach in television as well as in theatre.
