David Allwood

Choreographer | Dance Tutor

David trained at Bird College, London and graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Dance and Theatre Performance. Prior to attending Bird College, he was a Senior Conservatoire student at the Arts Educational School in Tring.


Theatre Credits Include: Dancer in Sensual Dreams at the London Hippodrome (2015). Ensemble and resident Choreographer in Ghost the Musical, English Theatre Frankfurt (2014-2015). Prince of Wales in Starlight Express Asia Tour (2013). Swing and Turnov in Starlight Express; Bochum, Germany (2011-2013). Ensemble, cover Prince Charming and Dance Captain in Cinderella with Cilla Black at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre (2010-2011). Dancer and Stage Fighter in Die Walkure (2010); National Reisopera, Netherlands. Dance Artist in 2Faced Dance Company’s National UK Tour of ‘Still Breathing’ (2010). Ensemble in the National UK Tour of Beauty and the Beast (2009-2010). Lucky in the UK Tour of 101 Dalmatians (1998).


TV Credits Include: Dancer in the TJ Hughes Advert 2015. Dancer on the Late Late Show ‘A Song for Eurovision’ (RTE1 2011). Dance Double for Gary Lineker in the Walkers Crisps ‘It’s Raining Ten’ advert (2010). The X Factor for Rhydian (ITV 2009)


Choreography: David has worked with choreographers such as Arlene Phillips, Bruno Tonioli, Lee Proud and Michelle Thorne. Most recently he collaborated with Joshua Pilmore and Caroline Bridges to create a piece for Move It, International Dance Exhibition at ExCel London. He directed and co-choreographed Moulin Rouge for Creative Academy at the Watermans Theatre, London (2016). He also choreographed for West End Bares in aid of Theatre MAD Trust (2015). He choreographed and directed Panem, performed at West Wing Arts Centre, Slough (2015). He has also choreographed numbers for the 25th Anniversary of the English Theatre in Frankfurt (2015) and for the Zeitlos Charity Gala for S.O.S Kinderdorf with the cast of Starlight Express in Bochum (2013). He choreographed the alternate opening number for Cinderella at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre with Cilla Black (2010).
