Actor, Director & Writer | Senior Acting Tutor

Ian has worked as a director, actor and artistic creative for over 40 years. His credits encompass West End, National tours, repertory as well as teaching and directing at major drama schools here and internationally.

He has just finished a three-year run as season director at the Worcester Repertory Company directing Elsie and Norm’s Macbeth, Round and Round the Garden, The Importance of Being Earnest, Cinderella and Jack and the Beanstalk. In addition, he co-created ‘My Dearest Mr Coward’ a site-specific production at The Huntingdon Hall, Worcester.

Last year he directed the critically acclaimed National Tour of ‘Mums the Word’. Some of his other tours include, Hairspray, Lady sings the Blues, Into the Light and two years of the concert tour of ‘Collabro’.

He also regularly directs in Australia where he directed Blood Brothers, Edges, Title of Show, The Secret Garden and Yank, a musical which was nominated for Best Independent Production at the Matilda’s. He has also directed in Japan, Switzerland, and Europe.
