You will be able to take part in a Dance Class led by Charlotte Scott and work with Principal and leading Vocal Coach Leontine Hass in the morning. Then in the afternoon you will take part in an Acting Through Song class with Dean Austin and Tracy Collier as well as a Devising class with Steven Conway.
If you would like to join us but cannot attend on this date, we will also be running open days on Monday 4th Decemeber, Monday 22nd January 2024 and Monday 3th March 2024.
Charlotte is currently Dance Captain and understudy Sarah Brown in the critically acclaimed revival of ‘Guys and Dolls’ at the Bridge Theatre.
Charlotte is originally from Norwich and went on to train professionally at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts graduating with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre.
In the West End, Charlotte has understudied and played lead roles such as Miss Honey and Miss Wormwood in the RSC's Matilda, Hope in Urinetown, Kathy Seldon in Singin' in the Rain and Glinda and Nessarose in Wicked, as well as dancing alongside Strictly Come Dancing's Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace in The Last Tango.
Regional and touring credits include: Glinda/Aunt Em in Wizard of Oz (Blackpool Opera House), Me and My Girl (Chichester Festival Theatre), Jellylorum and understudy Grizabella in Cats (International Tour) and dance captain in The Rocky Horror Show, Fame and Footloose.
Leontine Hass is an internationally renowned Vocal Coach and Founding Principal / CEO of Associated Studios London and Melbourne.
Leontine has a busy private practice comprising commercial recording artists, West End Musical Theatre performers and younger, aspiring students. She teaches workshops and lectures internationally on singing, voice and performance. She rehabilitates voices after surgery, or as surgery prevention.
Leontine has acted as vocal consultant to various music management and production companies including ‘Motown’ at The Shaftesbury Theatre West End. TV work includes ‘The Voice’ (BBC/ITV), The Gareth Malone show, ‘The Naked Choir’(BBC2), ‘SING ON! (Netflix) and The Michael McIntyre Show (BBC).
She has served as a columnist at various publications including Voicecouncil.com and The Stage newspaper. She is a contributor to ‘The Singer’s Complete Guide to Vocal Health’ (Oxford Uni. Press), and advisor/contributor to ‘The Ultimate Guide to Singing’.
Having originally trained as a classical singer (BA, Melbourne Uni, BMus. Kings College London, Dip. RAM), Leontine went on to study Musical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music. She has performed as a singer and actress in concert, theatre and TV.
Dean has a long-lasting relationship with Associated Studios and is a core member of our team, who is also a qualified Mental Health First Aider. He trained at the University of Hull completing a BMus in Music - he is a skilled pianist, musical director, vocal coach, piano teacher and musical arranger.
Some previous credits include (Musical Director): Death Takes a Holiday, Allegro, Elegies, Jekyll & Hyde, Zorro and Taboo.
Tracy Collier has been a stage and television actress since 1979. She has appeared nationally and internationally in plays, musicals, and television and has also recorded music collections and voice overs. Most notably, Tracy has appeared in the West End, as Lady Jaqueline Carston in Me and My Girl, and the British premier of Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Also at the National Theatre in both the Olivier and Littleton theatres, plays include Guys and Dolls, and Tom Stoppard’s Rough Crossing. She worked in repertory theatre for more than ten years playing many lead roles and also featured in a mini-series for RAI television in Italy.
Her most recent roles include Mrs Pearce in My Fair Lady, Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard and Velma in Hairspray .She also toured with Sara Crowe and Abigail Thaw in Sheila’s Island receiving great reviews. For television and film, as Disciple in The Sandman for Netflix and Episode 5, season 2 of Sanditon.
Tracy is also a director, choreographer and movement coach. She ran her own theatre company Time4Change Theatre which debuted with Silence; A Language in 2007. Her work has included Shakespeare, Brecht, and Musical and Physical Theatre. She directed Arthur Miller’s translation of Ibsen’s An Enemy of the People, and Tennessee Willams’ Camino Real at the Bridewell Theatre in London in January 2020/23. Tracy has been a lecturer and mentor or over 40 years.
Outside of his work as an actor and director Stephen works tirelessly within the local community running actors workshop's and developing plays within his own professional theatre company his work has been greatly received and widely praised both for the skill of his actors and the dynamism that Steve has been able to bring to his pieces.
