SATURDAY 31ST OCTOBER 2PM – 5PM: Back to Basics; Techniques for Professonal Singers with Vocal Coach Scott Harrison

During these uncertain times, professional singers around the world are looking to keep their skills in the best possible condition and build even more of a killer technique for when the industry opens up again.
Singing teacher and vocal coach Scott Harrison is offering an interactive, online masterclass to help graduates and professional level singers find their technical edge in their Musical Theatre audition repertoire.

Are you wanting to move from ensemble to lead? Are you wanting to expand your vocal casting potential? Do you have that song you have always wanted to perform in auditions but just can’t quite hit that last note? Are you looking for a full vocal workout to dust off those lockdown cobwebs and head into next year with your highest vocal confidence?

Scott will be covering it all in this session, where all participants will be invited to sing individually and receive feedback.

Singers taking part should prepare a 2-minute audition cut with backing track, and a digital copy of your sheet music for Scott to follow.

Vocal Coach Leontine Hass

SUNDAY 15TH NOVEMBER 2020 2PM – 5PM: Vocal Technique and Practice for the versatile Performer with Vocal Coach Leontine Hass

The Musical Theatre Industry demands performers to have an established vocal technique across a range of musical genres ranging from ‘classical/legit’ shows to contemporary styles. More and more auditions demand a pop/rock sound. Yet a solid classical technique can be the basis of mastering these sounds. In this workshop Vocal Coach Leontine Hass will guide you through how to establish, practice and maintain the vocal techniques required of a versatile Musical Teatre performer. If you have always wanted to be more than a ‘one-trip poney’ and to conquer singing in other styles successfully, this workshop will guide you through how to practice new techniques, get them into your voice sustainably and safely. Leontine will talk about balancing muscular activity, establishing an effective practice regime, challenge you to try new styles and work towards singing in styles you have always wanted to explore, but may not have felt confident to try.

Please prepare one song which is in your comfort zone and one song which is outside your comfort zone, but would like to be able to sing one day. Please prepare backing tracks for both songs.

SUNDAY 29TH NOVEMBER 2PM – 5PM: Acting Through Song & Audition Technique with Producer/Casting Director Daniele Tarento

This unique workshop gives performers the opportunity to perform and work with one of the most exciting producers and casting directors. Performers will be given the chance to perform their song to Danielle and the rest of the participants and observers. Danielle will then work on the song with the performer focusing on the acting through the song and also the performer’s approach to their auditions.

Each performer will be given around 10-15 minutes each to work with Danielle in front of the group.

Please note that whilst the workshop is open to everyone to observe, participants must be of a suitable standard and have relevant performance experience.

Danielle is a freelance producer and casting director. She won Best Producer at the Off West End Awards 2012, was nominated Producer of the Year at the Stage Awards 2015 and was listed as one of the top ten producers of Musical Theatre in 2016 in The Stage.
