Associated Studios Alumni
Here at The Associated Studios, we are incredibly proud of what our students get up to after completing a Musical Theatre course or Opera course with us. After their training, our alumni find themselves in West End shows, fringe theatre, creating their own work and doing many other exciting things all thanks to the skills acquired whilst training with us.

“Since graduating from the 4 month Musical Theatre course back in 2014, in the month that followed I was fortunate enough to gain an agent and book ‘CATS the Musical’ in the role of ‘Bombalurina’ to be launched on Royal Caribbean’s ‘Oasis of the Seas’. After the completion of the contract, I was asked to join the Paris troop of CATS in their season at the Theatre Mogador where I currently am now. At the completion of my contract in Paris this year, I will be heading back home to Australia for the national tour of ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ where I will be joining the ensemble and cover Lina Lamont. I feel very grateful for the training which I received at the Associated Studios and the opportunities which have followed my graduation.”

Ashleigh Flemming
From 2012-2014 I landed my dream job as Christine cover in The Phantom of the Opera, Her Majesty’s Theatre, London where I was lucky enough to play the part over 70 times. In 2010 I landed the role of Sister Sophia in The Sound of Music UK Tour (David Ian/Really Useful Group) where I toured the UK for a year and a half. I also went on to play Sister Sophia in further productions in Bahrain and Doha for Popular Productions.

Amelia Adams-Pearce
I’m currently playing ‘Mary Delgado’ in the first ever UK Tour of “Jersey Boys”! I adore the role and love the show – I started performing in the musical a couple of years ago and last year was asked to extend until this year. Since lessons with you and the course, I played ‘Adela’ in “Bernarda Alba” at the Union theatre that you coached on.
I then went into the UK Tour of “Spamalot” understudying the leading role of ‘The Lady of The Lake’ and was fortunate to also go into the west end with the show when it transferred. After that I went back out on the road in “Hairspray” the musical playing ‘Lou-Ann’ covering and playing ‘the female authority role’ and ‘Velma Von Tussle’. “Jack and the Beanstalk” in Tunbridge Wells and an off west end gig; “Before the Night is Through” at The Landor Theatre and then a gala performance of “Rags” at the Lyric Theatre kept me busy until commencing “Jersey Boys” in 2014.

Prudence Sanders
Australian soprano Prudence Sanders has recently been seen as Bianca in ‘La Rondine’ (Go Opera), Adina in ‘L’Elisit d’Amore’,in Musetta ‘La Boheme’, the Governess in ‘Turn of the Screw’ and Violetta in ‘La Traviata’ (all for Opera Up Close), Cunegonde in ‘Candide’ and Michaela in ‘Carmen’ (both for the Cambridge Philharmonic), Soprano Soloist in ‘Mittwoch aus Licht’ (Birmingham Opera, dir. Graham Vick) and Jacqueline in Messager’s ‘Fortunio’ (cover) for Grange Park.

Erin Cornell
Since leaving the Course Erin has toured with ‘Bohemian Rhapsody- West End Stars sing Queen’ as a featured artist’ European tour, ‘Mona’ in ‘A Class Act’ Landor Theatre, ‘Grizabella’ in ‘CATS’ the musical Asia tour, ‘Special Guest’ with ‘The Singapore Symphony Orchestra’ and is currently the standby ‘Grizabella’ to Pop Star Delta Goodrem in the Australian tour of ‘CATS’ the Musical.
‘Associated Studios changed my journey in London for the better. I was stuck and un inspired. By taking classes and masterclasses with incredible casting agents and creatives weekly fed my soul again. I got my mind back in the game. I was inspired weekly and felt my skills refreshed and expanded. Being Australian, it was a wonderful way to be exposed to UK producers, directors, musical directors and casting agents. I’d recommend this course to anyone. Do it. Be inspired.

David O’Mahoney
‘Since doing the first Associated Studios course I went from strength to strength – I secured a great new agent who I’ve been with for many years now and who I count as a friend and a rock… and have now wracked up two West End contracts, an Arena tour around America and I know there’s still great things ahead.
Leontine Hass and the directors, MD’s and choreographers from Associated Studios have remained in my life as friends, mentors and as fellow professionals. When you’re ‘resting’ these people will be the ones who drive you forward.’

Georgie Mottram (represented by Lowi Hamilton Artists)
As a classically trained singer it was amazing to be part of Princess Ida at the Finborough where I played Lady Ada (usually known as Melissa), this was the first professional production of Princess Ida in 70 years and was super fun. I was then lucky enough to headline a concert at St Johns Smith Square with artists Kerry Ellis and Dominic Ferris, with my A Capella quartet FourTune (videos and photos below). From Princess Ida, four of the Princesses decided to put together a girl opera group called ‘Ida’. We made our debut on TV in December singing on BBC’s This Week programme with Andrew Neil hosting. A fantastic gig for our first, and we are looking to do more support acts and TV work in 2016. (Youtube clip below of all our singing bits).
And finally in 2016 I will be performing in Thoroughly Modern Millie at the Adelphi as part of the 48 hour musical concept. Finally, I know I say it a million times over but Associated Studios course honestly changed the path of my life. It was so fantastic and more beneficial that I can put into words. So THANK YOU so much for giving me the chance to be on the course and be involved. I loved every second.

Tom Whalley
I graduated from Associated Studios in November 2014 and have had a whirlwind year since then.
Following our West End showcase I was signed to an agent and began working almost immediately.
I was delighted to join the cast of ‘She Loves Me’ at the Landor Theatre, performed in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ at the magnificent Durham Cathedral, have performed as Glinda and the Wicked Witch of the West in the UK Tour of ‘Looking for Oz’, returned to the London fringe scene as part of ‘A Little Night Music’ at Ye Olde Rose & Crown Theatre before flying off to Old Peking in the pantomime ‘Aladdin’ for UK Productions at the Sunderland Empire alongside showcase director, course mentor and friend, Ian Good.
2015 has been one of the busiest, most rewarding years of my career and none of it would have been possible were it not for the confidence and contacts that the Associated Studios course gifted me.
I have recently changed representation and am very excited as to what 2016 and beyond will hold.
I will be starring as ‘Carmen’ in new musical ‘Carnival Dreams’ in February 2016, premiering in Croydon prior to future planned tours/west end stints of this exciting new project.
There are a few other projects in the pipeline but for now my lips are sealed!

Frida Linnell
Associated Studios really made me love musical theatre. I couldn’t stop. I moved to the capital of Sweden, Stockholm, and I’m currently at a two-year musical theatre program at The Arts School Kulturama. It’s amazing and I have you and all the other tutors to thank for a lot when it comes to the level of my skills, especially when it comes to singing. I can really see a future in musical theatre for me and I can’t wait to eventually come back to London and continue my journey there someday. In May I’m cast as “swing” in the Swedish premiere of “Heathers – the musical”.

Adam Strong
‘Since the course I have been fortunate enough to do some amazing jobs, I was part of ‘The International Tenors’ for 2 years. I sang at Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms, Following that I played a priest and understudied Annas in the World Arena Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ alongside Spice Girl Mel C, Comedian Tim Minchin and West End Star Ben Forster, which was one of the best experiences of my life. Last year I was a headline vocalist for Belinda King Creative Productions on board ‘Seabourn Cruise Line’. I am currently lead singer and Company Manager on the European Tour of ‘The World of Musical’s’ a show that visits 25 different Musical’s in 2 and a half hours.
I loved every minute of the course at Associated Studios, you get to work with so many different people, from west MD’s to Directors and Casting Directors, and some of the best vocal, acting and dance coaches in the business. I would recommend anyone who is thinking about auditioning for any of the courses to go for it. In February I will be doing a concert with another AS graduate ‘Jack Montgomery’ called ‘Twist and Shout’ best of British.

Samantha Smith
Leontine Hass has been instrumental in preparing me for auditions that I have attended in the past, I still benefit from her wealth of knowledge, expertise and advice within the industry. Her directing, professional notes and just the simple do’s and dont’s still ring in my ears when I arrive at auditions. Her flair, personality and charm are beautiful and it is so obvious she wants us all to be the top of our game.
